Imagine a family of three, eagerly embarking on a memorable holiday in the enchanting city of Paris. With April just around the corner, the excitement is palpable as we prepare to explore the wonders of the French capital. From the moment we take off from Luton Airport early on a Tuesday morning, our adventure begins.

Arriving in Paris

After a smooth flight, we touch down at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). Instead of taking a taxi or a private transfer, we opt for a more authentic experience by using the train and metro system to reach our destination. With a sense of adventure, we navigate the bustling stations and arrive at our accommodation, the Ibis Budget Hotel, in the afternoon.

Exploring the City of Love

On Wednesday, we start our Parisian escapade by visiting the iconic Eiffel Tower. As we ascend the tower, we are greeted by breathtaking views of the city, creating memories that will last a lifetime. To truly experience the charm of Paris, we decide to take a leisurely Seine River cruise, gliding along the tranquil waters and admiring the city’s architectural wonders.

A Rainy Day at Versailles

Thursday brings rain, but it doesn’t dampen our spirits. We seize the opportunity to visit the magnificent Versailles Palace Museum and its sprawling gardens. Despite the weather, the palace’s opulence and grandeur leave us in awe. We stroll through the meticulously manicured gardens, imagining the royalty who once walked these very paths. Weather clears up in the afternoon luckily, so we can really have a great time in the gardens.

An Artistic Journey at the Louvre

On Friday, we immerse ourselves in the world of art at the Louvre Museum. We marvel at the masterpieces, from the enigmatic smile of the Mona Lisa to the majestic Winged Victory of Samothrace. The Louvre’s vast collection takes us on a captivating journey through history and culture.

Farewell, Paris

As the sun sets on their last day in Paris, we bid adieu to the City of Love. We head back to CDG Airport, ready to board evening EasyJet flight back to the United Kingdom. Traveling from centre of Paris to the airport takes over 2 hours due heavy traffic. Our flight is delayed by an hour, so we make it with time to spare. With hearts full of cherished memories, we reflect on their incredible adventure in the captivating streets of Paris.

Whether it’s exploring iconic landmarks, indulging in delectable cuisine, or immersing oneself in art and history, Paris offers a myriad of experiences for all. Emily in Paris is not just a show; it’s a real-life adventure waiting to be embraced by families seeking to create lasting memories in the city that never fails to enchant.
